Somercotes Guides go furry

Summer term 2016 has mainly involved the Guides working towards their Animal Active ‘Go For It’ badge.
We visited Pets at Home in Derby to learn about how to look after pets and even got to stroke the rabbits and hamsters. There was less enthusiasm about stroking the snakes however! Back at Guides we created clay animals, played animal games and made insect houses. One night we had a special visitor – one of the Police dogs dropped in to see us and wowed us with his sniffing skills. Well done to all the Guides who earned the badge.
